What Makes the iPhone Different

Whenyou are in the market for a new cell phone, you have a plethora of phones tochoose from. One of the biggest challenges is finding the perfect phone that iscompatible with your current cell phone provider. The choices slim down considerablywhen you start to head into the realm of smart phones. Smart phone are moreexpensive than others, mainly due to the fact they offer a higher endtechnology. The iPhone by Apple, is one of these smart phones. Why should youchoose an Apple iPhone instead of another smart phone like a Blackberry? Whatmakes the iPhone different from all of the other smart phones available.

TheApple iPhone has a touch screen. While other cell phones have touch screencapabilities, most of the other smart phones do not. That is why they havekeypads. The iPhone's touch screen is one of the features that have made it sopopular. Everything is done through the screen. It makes texting, sortingthrough the main page, finding contacts and browsing the internet so easy. Noawkward and cumbersome key pads to deal with (men know that these are usuallytoo small to be practical), and no stylus to lose. Everything is done with atough of a finger. You page through your options and make your selections withyour fingertips. The volume and other controls are also controlled with just atough or two from you. It is this ease of use that is what makes the iPhonedifferent from the other high-end smart phones.

Thefeatures of the iPhone are another way that it is different from the othersmart phones. This phone is crammed packed with features. As some would say,"this is a mack daddy phone". What are the features that this phonehas that others lack? First, there is the fact that the Apple iPhone has giventhe user the ability to have music, video content like movies and TV, texting, emailing, internet, photography and GPS navigation all in a single device. Thisis in addition to having great call quality. When you look at the fact thatthis allows the user to only need a single device instead of having to cartaround a PDA, MP3 player, camera, cell phone and GPS system, and you have avery appealing device. These features are what make the iPhone different fromall of the others.

Isthere anything else that makes the iPhone different? Yes, there are but thesemay not be positive differences. it is only available with AT&T's cellphone service. If you happen to be in an area with limited or no service byAT&T then you are out of luck if you want an iPhone. Another feature thatmakes the iPhone different is the battery. It cannot be replaced. If yourbattery dies, then you need a new phone. Not very good news to someone that hasjust spent $500 on a phone. There is no way to add to the memory of the device. You can purchase your Apple iPhone with either 6 GB, 8 GB, or 16 GB of memory. If you run out of room on your phone, you have to delete something. There areno slots for memory cards. This is something that Apple should have researchedbetter. Teens who love music and video content can burn through 8 GB or memoryin record time.
Overall, what makes the iPhone different from all of the others is its ease of use andversatility. Along those lines, Apple did a fabulous job. Just like withanything else it is not a perfect phone, then again, what is?
